Removing users from your organisation

SimChat allows you to manage users by deactivating or permanently deleting accounts.


Deactivating users


Deactivation removes a user’s access to your organisation without deleting their data. Deactivated users:


  • Cannot log in or use any scenarios  
  • No longer count towards your plan limits  
  • Can be reactivated at any time  


How to deactivate users


  1. Go to Users in the left sidebar  
  2. Choose the Deactivate user button


You can also deactivate multiple users at once by using the bulk selection tools on the Users page.

Deleting users


Deletion is permanent. Once deleted:


  • All associated learner data is removed  
  • The user cannot be restored  
  • You will need to invite them again if they rejoin in the future


Only delete users when you are sure their data is no longer required.


How to delete users


  1. Go to Users in the left sidebar  
  2. Locate the user you previously deactivated  
  3. Select the red Delete button


Deleting or reactivating a user


Deleting is only available for users who are already deactivated. You can also reactivate a user with the green **Reactivate **button.
