Reviewing user activity and transcripts
You can review user activity in your organisation from Activity → Sessions in the sidebar. This helps you monitor engagement, assess learner performance and read individual conversation transcripts.
Reviewing conversations
The Sessions page lists every conversation, including:
- The scenario used
- The mode used, as a Text, Audio or Video badge, with a Meeting badge if the AI avatar joined an external video call
- The date and time
- The user who completed it
You can:
- Open individual transcripts
- Leave feedback for learners
- Bulk download transcripts
- Filter or search to find specific sessions
Filtering conversations
You can filter by:
- Cohort
- Scenario
- Mode - text or audio
- User name, using the search box
These filters make it easy to locate sessions for auditing, assessment or support.

Group meeting sessions
Sessions where the AI avatar joined a Teams, Google Meet or Zoom call carry a Meeting badge. You review them in the same way as any other session, but two differences are worth bearing in mind:
- The transcript merges every participant's speech into a single learner voice, because the avatar hears the whole room through one audio feed
- The checklist score therefore describes the group's performance, not that of the member who started the session
See Using an AI avatar in a Teams, Zoom or Google Meet call.
Reviewing a session and leaving feedback
Select Review on the session you want to open. The session view shows:
- The full transcript between the learner and the AI
- The learner's answers to any post-scenario questions
- The automarked score based on your checklist
As an administrator, cohort lead or assessor, you see the full detail of every session you have access to, including the checklist and scores, even for assessment scenarios where the learner's own view is restricted.
Leaving feedback
In the session view you can write and save feedback for the learner. When feedback is released:
- The learner is notified by email
- Other staff reviewing the session can see the feedback you added
This lets several staff members collaborate when reviewing learner performance.

Analytics
Activity → Analytics gives you the aggregate picture rather than individual sessions: how much your cohorts are using SimChat, which scenarios are being practised, and how scores are trending. Cohort leads and assessors find the same page under My cohorts → Analytics, scoped to their cohorts.
Downloading and exporting
If you need to download transcripts or produce reports, you can export from the Sessions page. See Exporting transcripts and activity reports.
Tracking curriculum coverage
If you use curricula, coverage lives under Curriculum → Coverage (or My cohorts → Curriculum coverage for cohort leads and assessors). See Tracking curriculum coverage.
