Introduction to SimChat
SimChat is a platform for creating realistic AI conversation simulations. Learners practise real-world conversations with AI characters, and you can assess how they perform.
You can use SimChat to train any group that needs to practise conversations, including healthcare students, customer service teams and other professionals. Scenarios can represent clinical encounters, customer service conversations, coaching discussions, conflict resolution or any other real-world situation where communication skills are important.
What you can do with SimChat
- Create conversation scenarios with AI characters
- Let learners practise in text, voice or video mode
- Send an AI avatar into a Teams, Google Meet or Zoom call so a whole group can practise together
- Assess learner performance with AI marking and feedback
- Track learner progress and curriculum coverage across your organisation
How it works
- You create a scenario. This defines the AI character, the context and the goals for the learner.
- Learners open the scenario in their web browser and hold a conversation with the AI character by text, voice or video.
- SimChat records the conversation and can assess it against a checklist, giving you transcripts, scores and feedback.
SimChat does not require any software downloads. Learners access scenarios through a web browser on desktop or mobile, as long as they have an internet connection and a modern browser.
On the Enterprise plan you can also send a scenario's AI avatar into a Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Zoom call, so a whole group can take part in one simulation together. See Using an AI avatar in a Teams, Zoom or Google Meet call.

Next steps
