This guide takes you from creating your organisation to running scenarios with your learners. For a general overview first, see Introduction to SimChat.

Creating your organisation

To get started with SimChat:

  1. Visit https://simchat.ai and click Try for free
  2. Enter your organisation name and your details
  3. Choose your industry sector and preferred language
  4. Set your password and agree to the terms
  5. Check your email for a verification link

Once you verify your email, you'll be taken directly to your organisation's dashboard.

Every new organisation starts on our free plan, which includes text mode, 2 custom scenarios, and 50 conversations per month, plus a short trial of voice and video.

Your dashboard

After signing in, you'll land on your Dashboard. This is your central hub for:

  • Creating scenarios - build new conversation simulations
  • Viewing activity - see how your learners are using SimChat
  • Managing settings - configure your organisation, invite your team, and more

The sidebar navigation gives you quick access to:

  • Scenarios - your library of conversation simulations
  • Collections - curated groups of scenarios
  • Users and Cohorts - the people in your organisation and how they are organised
  • Activity - usage statistics, transcripts and learner progress
  • Plan - your subscription, usage and minute balances
  • Settings - organisation configuration and team management

Setting up SimChat

Work through these steps to get ready for your learners:

  1. Learn the basics. See Creating your first scenario for what a scenario is and how to build one, and Understanding roles in SimChat for how owners, administrators, authors, assessors and learners differ.
  2. Configure your organisation. Open Settings → Organisation to set your organisation name, country and default language.
  3. Build a scenario. Create one in the scenario creator, generate one with AI, or import one from a library.
  4. Add your people. Invite staff and learners and organise them into cohorts. See Inviting staff members and users.
  5. Prepare to deploy. Test your network, environment and microphones before using SimChat with your learners. See Preparing to deploy SimChat.
  6. Review and scale. Check learner activity and upgrade your plan when you need voice, video or more capacity. See Reviewing user activity and transcripts and Upgrading your plan.
