Managing your account and preferences

Your account settings control your personal details and how you interact with scenarios. Every SimChat user has these settings, whether you are an administrator, an author or a learner.

Updating your details

1. Open Settings from the sidebar
2. Select the Account tab
3. Update any of the following:

• First name
• Last name
• Preferred language - your preferred language for interacting with scenarios

4. Select Save changes

Changing your email address

Your email address is shown on the Account page but cannot be edited there. If you need to change it, contact us at support@simchat.ai.

Your password and security

Your password and two-factor authentication are managed on the Security tab, not the Account tab. See Securing your account with two-factor authentication.

Organisation access

The Account page also shows your access to the organisation. If your access has an expiry date, it is displayed here. Otherwise it shows that your access does not expire.

Switching between organisations

If your email address belongs to more than one SimChat organisation, you can move between them without signing out completely:

1. Open the user menu at the bottom of the sidebar
2. Under Switch organisation, select the organisation you want to open

Each organisation has its own address (for example your-org.simchat.ai), so you may be asked to sign in again when you switch.
