Upgrading your plan

Manage your subscription at: Plan (in the sidebar). Only owners and administrators see this page.

All organisations start on the free plan. If you would like to upgrade, or need help choosing, contact the SimChat team and we will talk you through the options.

Plans are counted in two kinds of seat. A user is a learner. A staff account is anyone with a staff role - owner, administrator, assistant administrator, cohort lead, author, assessor or viewer - not just administrators. See Understanding roles in SimChat.

Choosing your audio and video minutes

The Starter and Team plans include a yearly minute allowance that you split between audio and video. Before payment, the Configure your plan page lets you set the mix with a slider. Audio and video are traded at 2 audio minutes for 1 video minute, so a Starter plan gives you up to 800 audio minutes, up to 400 video minutes, or any mix in between. The mix defaults to 50/50.

You can also add one-off minute packs in the same step, billed with your first invoice.

The mix you choose is re-applied each time your plan renews. To rebalance the minutes you currently hold, convert between audio and video on the Minutes page at any time. See Understanding audio and video minutes.

Scenario libraries

Scenario libraries give your organisation ready-to-use, professionally developed scenarios you can import straight into your scenario list.

Both libraries are included with Enterprise, at no extra cost. On the Starter and Team plans they are optional paid add-ons, and they aren't available on the free plan.

To add a library on Starter or Team:

  1. Go to Scenario libraries in the sidebar
  2. Browse the available libraries
  3. Select a library to see its details
  4. Purchase access for your organisation

See Using scenario libraries and importing scenarios.
